We had a lovely time at our Rock Run House Spring Tea & Garden Party a few weeks ago! Our food and drink featured all botanicals in honor of the season, many of them harvested right out of our Rock Run House herb garden, which never fails to amaze us in its early-spring abundance.
The Menu
- Lemon balm and raspberry leaf tea
- Chamomile shortbread
- Cucumber & cream Cheese on a baguette
- Sweet onion & butter with thyme flowers on a baguette
- Chocolate cake with raspberry buttercream
- Orange mint & crystallized ginger scones
- Sourdough baguettes with butter and foraged dandelion, honeysuckle, and violet jams (courtesy of one of our friends)
We discussed gardening and cooking and creating with flowers and plants. It was a wonderful way to experience the joys of nature in early spring in the garden. Hope you can join us for next year’s Spring Tea & Garden Party
