We celebrated the end of the harvest season in style here at Rock Run House this past Saturday, November 8th — all of it centered around the historic 1840 timber-frame barn on the property.
The day kicked off with our Barn Market, featuring local goods, breadmaking supplies, and extra festive treats for sale. Later in the day, we held our annual Harvest Barn Dance and Songs & Stories event. The barn rang with live music, lively dancers, stories from the audience, as well as songs AND stories from our resident singer-songwriter, Daniel Dye.
Thanks to those of you who were able to stop by in honor of this special time of year when we give thanks for the joys of friends and family, not to mention our gratitude for abundance at the end of another growing season.
We look forward to filling the old barn again next spring for our Spring Barn Dance!
